The Queensland Art Gallery
The Queensland Art Gallery is an art museum located in Brisbane's South Bank, part of the Queensland Cultural Centre. Established in 1895, it did not have a permanent home until 1982.
The gallery boasts significant works and has a commitment towards profiling Indigenous Australian art. It is open daily from 10am to 5pm and closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
Exhibitions include the Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art, a major event on the arts calendar. The gallery also has a well-recognized Art for children section with innovative learning programs.

Adults must accompany children between 10 and 16, and concession prices are available. Abseil Climbs are also available each week for those seeking extra thrills.

Visiting Brisbane Botanic Gardens
Located about 15 minutes from the city centre, the Brisbane Botanic Gardens are some of the most beautiful gardens in the country. They are served by public transport and have ample parking.

You can also rent space within the gardens for events such as weddings and parties, taking advantage of the beautiful scenery as a backdrop.
