Brisbane Airport (BNE)

Brisbane Airport is Australia's third busiest international airport servicing more than 20 airlines. It is rated as the fourth-best performing airport in the world in the medium-sized airport category due to its exceptional on-time performance.

The main facility for private flights is the Hawker Pacific Private Flight Facility, located on the south-eastern side of the airport. The airport features two asphalt runways and domestic, international, general aviation and cargo terminals.

Located less than 15km south of Brisbane, Archerfield Airport was the primary airport in Brisbane for some time and served as a Royal Australian Air Force station during the Second World War.

The airport has four runways and caters to general aviation activities. Its tower is open from 0700 to 1700 hours with a Common Traffic Advisory Frequency used after hours.

Amberley Airport (FVJ)

Also known as RAAF Base Amberley, the military airbase is located just 50km southwest of Brisbane. While it is home to the RAAF Base Amberley, it is also a local airport that services private planes.

The airport has an elevation of nearly 92 feet above mean sea level as well as two concrete/asphalt runways. Since its inception, it has gone through an extensive re-development program and can now house military aircraft such as F/A-18F Super Hornets and C-17 Globemasters. The airfield caters to general aviation activities so you can enjoy a fast and easy check-in process.

Southport Airport (SHQ)

Located less than 77km from Brisbane's city centre, Southport Airport is a small private airport that caters mainly to private air charter flights for business or leisure travel.

Operated by the Southport Flying Club, the airport stands at an elevation of 5 feet above mean sea level and features one natural runway. Note that both runways have a displaced threshold as there are trees located at each end.

Gold Coast Airport (OOL)

Approximately 100km south of Brisbane, Gold Coast Airport is the 6th busiest airport in the country. It serves as a hub for airlines such as Seair Pacific and Jetstar Airways.

The airport features two asphalt runways and modern technologies including an Instrument Landing System for safe landings during adverse weather conditions.

Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY)

Located less than 120km from Brisbane's city centre, Sunshine Coast Airport is the principal airport for the Sunshine Coast. It has two runways and a single-storey terminal with a departure lounge accommodating 300 people.

General aviation activities have been taking place here since the late 1950s, and it remains an important hub for both general aviation and regular public transport services.
